Project Challenge
The Zhoukou–Nanyang Expressway spans approximately 195 km, with poor geological conditions including expansive soil and silty soft soil.
Expansive soil undergoes swelling when wet and shrinkage when dry, posing serious threats to the long-term stability of roadbeds, embankments, and cut slopes.
The reinforced section involved a 20.5-meter-deep cut slope in expansive soil, with high risks of slope instability. Traditional treatment methods are costly and complex.

Conducted analysis of slope instability mechanisms and developed targeted reinforcement concepts.
Provided a helical pile reinforcement design and construction plan as an alternative to traditional methods.
Manufactured and supplied the required helical piles, and participated in the on-site construction.
